Articulating Beauty

A collection of sights and sounds that capture small moments of beauty.

I'm a woman living in the Witch City. I love vintage clothing, strong coffee, heart-to-heart conversations, frolicking with friends, and the warm sun on my face.

I am in love.
I give love.
You are loved.

Josephine Bonaparte
1812, Firmin Massot

I’ve found a few new portraits of Josephine.  Seems that portraits by lesser-known painters are starting to surface.  This is wonderful!
Josephine had been divorced for two years when she sat for this portrait and would have been living in Malmaison, alone.  Napoleon was divorced from her, invading Russia and retreating from Moscow in defeat.
